Kali Moss
Principal Consultant
Kali Moss (née Leary) is from Norway House Cree Nation in northern Manitoba. She holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Manitoba and a Master of Biomedical Technology from the University of Calgary. She has also completed certificate training in Practical Facilitation Skills through the University of Winnipeg.
Raised in Norway House Cree Nation, Kali has first-hand knowledge of the issues that affect First Nations people and the resilience of Indigenous communities. Kali has dedicated her career and personal endeavors to addressing health and social inequities among Indigenous people. She has learned from her Elders while navigating the path between Indigenous and settler ways of being and doing. Through a Two-Eyed Seeing approach, Kali strikes a balance between funder expectations, client and partner needs, political priorities, and community-defined measures of success.
Kali is highly skilled in group facilitation; she is known for her engaging style, active listening, and ability to draw quality input from participants through effective prompts. Her expertise in distilling participant input and identifying common threads helps her to effectively provide engagement-based recommendations for action.
Kali's passion for meaningful collaboration with interest holders in a culturally safe manner has resulted in many successful engagements across Canada.
